St Joseph's Church Mingenew
According to the Location map of Strawberry, dated 1877, the Catholic Church Block No was 92A. The first Catholic church was made of timber and iron. This church was later shifted into Mingenew in 1912. Prior to the Church being erected in Mingenew Mass was said in the old Hall once a month.
At present we have Mass celebrated here in Mingenew on the 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays at 6pm and on the 2nd and 4th Saturdays at 6pm. Our Parish Priest is Fr Francis Phan he travels over to Mingenew from Mullewa. Fr can be contacted on 9961 1181.
Mingenew Anglican Church of the Resurrection
Established in 1903 and made from local stone.
The Parish consists of Dongara and Mingenew combined, having formerly been part of Greenough and Walkaway, which are now affiliated with Geraldton. The present Vicar, Reverend Robert Healy, resides in Dongara and travels to Mingenew for weekly Sunday services, and together with his wife, teach weekly religious instruction to the Mingenew Primary School.
