The Mingenew Races run by the Mingenew Turf Club Committee
The Mingenew Races run by the Mingenew Turf Club Committee is traditionally held in March each year. Mark your social calendar now – Perfectly located, the Mingenew Recreation Centre overlooks a well maintained grassed racetrack, which in turn surrounds the football oval and part of the local golf course. Experience magnificent panoramic views of the district while you enjoy afternoon tea or simply enjoy a social afternoon with friends on the lawn, or in the Marquee especially erected on the day. The kids will find heaps to do in the playground while you place a bet on the tote or try your luck with the bookies. Food & drinks provided by local fundraising organizations and the evening entertainment is usually live music and a fireworks show from local pyrotechnician Ken Boyland – Midwest Fireworks (08) 9928 1104

Mingenew Lions Midwest EXPO – IT’S HUGE!!
Contact the Expo Secretary on (08) 9928 1138
Every September the community comes alive to host the Mingenew Lions Midwest EXPO. Held over two days, Thursday & Friday of the third week in September, the event is continually changing & evolving. The largest regional two-day agricultural field day showcasing agriculture, education, health, lifestyle and general interest products and services. It’s a time to be entertained, fed & informed. The one time of the year when sporting & town rivalries are put aside and the people of the Mid West come together to catch up with the latest in everything from agriculture to child development. While some are busy checking out the 400 sites & comparing crop developments, the rest of the family come to see the fashion parades, Family Interest Marquee, Education & Careers & Shire Showcase Marquees. Not to mention the boutique wineries, olive growers, Old MacDonald’s Farm exhibits and much much more…
